Prioritizing things is a struggle everyone faces in their lives.

This is due to you probably not being some sort of superhuman with an infinite amount of time and energy. Prioritizing helps you to sort things out and think about what you want to do first.

When it comes to your experiments in growth hacking and CRO the same applies. Time and resources are restricted and therefore you need to make every experiment count.

When you are reading this, you have probably reached a point where you have conducted your conversion research and formed your hypotheses.

So, you have a massive list of ideas that you want to test. But as I said — you are probably not a superhuman. So it’s time to prioritize your ideas.

Here is how to do it: PIE vs ICE

Let me start by introducing you to two commonly used prioritization frameworks: PIE and ICE.

Both frameworks are widely popular and frankly, they are very similar to each other. The PIE framework was created by Chris Goward, the founder of WiderFunnel, whereas the ICE framework was popularised by Growthhackers.
