Our 2nd Product Hunt Launch — the journey, some BTS, and (amazing) results
A week ago, on 30th August, 2023, we launched Scoutflo Deploy on Product Hunt. Our second PH launch, after Scoutflo Atlas.
What’s Scoutflo Deploy?
It’s a platform built to automate the self-hosting process of commercial open-source (COSS) products.
You can self-host the COSS product of your choice on your own cloud infrastructure — with just a few clicks.
Speaking of, its new website was also launched on the same day! ✨

This blog is all about taking you behind the scenes of the launch day, sharing some of the feedback, and of course, the exciting results!

Part 1: The all-new website ✨

Part 2: The Pre-Launch Prep 📝
Right from beginning the planning phase…
… to getting done with the execution ✅
From finding an amazing Product Hunt Hunter…
… to the last-minute edits to the Makers’ comment.
A LOT happened — documented, and not.
Oh yes, following the ritual (IYKYK), we also crossed 800 followers on Twitter (X) soon before the launch! 💙
Part 3: The Launch Day 🚀
It started at 12:30 pm IST.
The infamous rollercoaster ride started after 4 hours (when the upvotes are visible).
But in the meantime, we saw incredible love and support from our amazing audience!

The race for the Top 5 was initially between:
Fun Fact: The Maker of ChatGPT Enterprise was Sam Altman himself!
Guess what, we eventually surpassed ChatGPT Enterprise! 🤯
Later that day, it was all about replying to comments, maintaining the hype on socials, and hoping to stay in the Top 5.
We pulled off an all-nighter (just like the past 2 weeks or so) and took turns in replying to comments.
Part 4: The Final Results 💙
We managed to stay in the Top 5 pretty much throughout — while still holding on to the hope of re-reaching the 3rd position.
It came down to the last 30 minutes!
And here are the Final results…
At the end of the 24-hour duration — we stood at #4.
