Fender home page

The Fender website works well as an example of good website design, the use of white and of bright colours as well as the use of a type make the website’s design feel very modern. They also use pull down menus that are small and at the top of the page, making it look spacious.

The home page has sliding advertisements for both Fenders newest products and products that they want to push, meaning the user is immediately shown the newest range they can select from as well as the best fender has on offer for them as customers. They also makes use of pull down tabs to access menus for when users are searching for products.

Pull down menus

The pull down menus are easy to navigate, splitting categories up in ways that are direct and specific. By splitting up the specific products into their own pull down tabs means the search process for the user is streamlined, this is also helped by the categorisation of the products by model or by which series they belong to, making the pull down menus user friendly.

The product pages are also easy to navigate with each products getting a well sized image as to show it off. There is also a sideways scroll along menu at the top that splits the products into the series they belong to, allowing the user to find the specific product they are looking for.

There is also a standard filter menu at the side of the page that has an area that allows users to choose obscure minute details on the product as to narrow down search results, making the over all search process streamlined and easy.
