Another film will be representing Pakistan at the upcoming SXSW awards. Muhammad Qavi Khan and Farhan Tahir starrer I’ll Meet You There, will have it’s world premiere at the event in March 2020.

The film is also going to be a contender for the SXSW Grand Jury Awards. Previously, the news of Saim Saddiq’s short film, Darling headed to the awards was announced.

The film stars talents from both Pakistan and Hollywood. Iram Parveen Bilal, the Pakistani-American filmmaker is the writer and director.

I’ll Meet You There, is a family drama revolving around a Muslim cop and his teenage daughter who wants to be a ballerina.

Muhammad Qavi Khan, shared his joy on social media, expressing his gratitude for being given a chance to be a part of the film.

It is a great achievement for Pakistani film makers and artists to be recognized on international platforms. Art is a great medium to represent a country’s culture and people and every film that the international audience gets to see from Pakistan is another step in breaking stereotypes.
