In our hearts still born

A soul dropped by
and slipped into our lives
for only a few hours
then slipped out again.
Three months too early was he
with only a breath of a chance.
Put on hold he was,
in a coma induced to de-stress a spirit
unprepared for a life among us.
Baptized was he and named
before he died, loved.
A wee little thing
who whiled upon this earth
long enough to give us his blessing
before, cradled and kissed, he passed away.
RIP our little boy.
