Breaching Vastness
A Poem of a Whale and a Moment of Awe
Some experiences in life can never be recreated,
like being enveloped in awe
in that moment
when a breaching whale leaves the silvered sea,
leaping into the realm of sky
and pinkening air
and we, two humans, felt so small
amidst the pulsation
of the vastness of it all
that we forgot to breath
