Adventure is never easy
I was seasick most of the time
I missed my mother terribly
And dreamed my father died

The skiff makes savage procession
Beat back and ravaged by time
The apex of which — that loitering thing!
White capped and rabid;
Always looming but never arrived

Did you make a pretense at mourning?

Red sky in the morning,
Another day in blue
Did you wear black for a year, my love?
How dead am I to you?

A Viking without a pyre
Burn me down if you have a heart
Don’t let me wander around out here — My God!

Take my kingdom

My Kingdom

My Kingdom

But please take me back to the start.
