never seeming to arrive
your mind dizzy
heart a tangle of thousands of what-ifs

What a sad story to forget —
today is the horizon of yesterday
and that every day you have arrived

The earth is round
don’t wait for you to encircle it
to realize there’s nowhere to be
but here and now
