I’ll be Just Across the River

A short poem about displacement.

Photo by Justin Wilkens on Unsplash

Shapes on the Mississippi,
Going in and out of view,
Ghost on the water,
Got me thinking of you,

Blown away last week,
Still don’t know what’s real,
River’s breeze on my face,
Cold all that I feel,

Stories that matter. Emotion first and foremost.
