Dear readers,

New talented pens joined Scribe this month, and I hope you had as much fun as I did read their stories!

Katie Bauer, M. L. Sukala, Tesia Blake, Matthew Donnellon, Lowen Puckey, Mary Wise, Paola Ritucci, Belinda Neuhauser, Giovanni Sonier, Noah M. Smith, Andrew Knott, J.D. Harms, Dave Zill, and TheWayISam, I wish you will feel comfortable on these pages. You’re in your garden over here!

Among my favorites of the last few weeks, I really liked the first stories of the series started by Belinda Neuhauser, in which she shares the most memorable conversations she had during her travels around the world.

She writes, in the introduction to this series:

What I take home from my travels is rarely a lot of souvenirs or postcards, but a whole bunch of booklets filled with stories and wisdom from the road.

You will find Belinda’s first stories on the home page of the publication in the “FEATURED // Wisdom from the Road” section. Find out her first piece in which she tells us how she experienced her meeting with a sitar player in Vancouver.

I add new featured sections every week, so I invite you to check the publication homepage regularly to make sure you don’t miss anything.

I also wanted to talk to you about an idea that has been on my mind for some time.

One day I would like to create a paper collection of stories that have been published on Scribe. I would dream that your stories would also travel in the hands of people who do not have an ongoing relationship with the screens.

What do you think of that?

Well, I leave you with a small selection of stories that came out on Scribe in May and that should be good for you! All the stories are to be found on the home page of the publication or in the May archives.

Have a good reading and above all, keep writing!

Friendly,

Thomas

This month, Nikki Ticknor wrote a parenting story in which it is about dinosaurs. Yes, you read it right.

Tesia Blake raises the question that many of us must have asked ourselves one day: Should I Be Friends with an Ex? Don’t worry, Tesia, you’re not a psychopath!

Agnes Louis wrote a piece about writing: The Difficult Topic. And also these three powerful stories: It Hits You When It Hits You / Can You Hear Me? / Dear Nurse.

Elle Rogers is one of my favorite poets on Medium. Read these poems: Prayer Upon my Skin / Belated / The Young Are Not the Ones Who Fall in Love.

Jessica Lovejoy published a poem about love: Countdown.

I tried to write haikus, and I really liked the experience. Flower / Rebirth / Ocean / Sacred Bonds / Graceful / White Coat / Soft Touch.

Giovanni Sonier has incredible talent. If you like reading poems on Medium, you must know him. When Giovanni asked me to publish his poems, I welcomed him with open arms! Some of his wonderful poetry: White Lotus / An Ode to Youth / Contrast.

Andrew Knott wrote two poems dedicated to his son. And I found them very touching. Like Father, Like Son / My Every.

Benjamin Davis made his comeback on Scribe. I find his stories very catchy, do you? Read this one: The Intelligent American.

Alice Evergreen wrote a strong poem about a child and a monster, but maybe not the one you think it is. Monsters.

And many more stories
