Voices In My Head

A Droplet of Water

A Short Poem

The rain against the cold,
hard surface lulls me.
Water forms into droplets,
each expanding until the weight
becomes too much to bear,
dragged down by gravity
on an uncontrollable course,
zig-zagging its way
to collision after collision
until it’s no longer recognizable
at the bottom of the sill.

As always, a huge THANK YOU for taking the time to read my poem and for the wonderful editors who curate the work of poets and writers. Without you, my voice would be a whisper just floating in the air.
