Scribe: What happened in January

Dear readers,
It’s already February 1st and I must admit that I haven’t seen the beginning of the year go by. I feel like crushing the brake pedal, it’s going way too fast! Anyway, it is with the same happiness that I find you again for the monthly letter. I hope you will have the same pleasure when you read it!
So, what’s been cool this month?
As you may have noticed, the publication’s logo, the column, and the featured pages (Poetry, Writing, Fiction…) have been slightly redesigned! I wanted to make the literary side of Scribe even more apparent. To do this, I chose a finer font and went back to a more professional and refined style. What do you think about it?
I’ve chosen to give more importance to Fiction, and some good stories are already available just for you. Have you read this story by Erika Burkhalter? More stories are coming soon!
New writers joined the publication this month. And maybe you have already warmly welcomed them by reading and reacting to their stories! Connie Song, Norma Martiri, Farah Egby, Oon Ren, Michael Ethan Gold, Afiyah The Poet, and David Goodwin: welcome again!
Five writers were each honored for a week in the column. I hope that new readers were able to discover their writing talents. Follow them to make sure you don’t miss any of their next stories: John L Dahle, Samantha Lazar, J.W. Parr, Annie Bell, and Ash Sturg. In the new edition that starts today, Lynne Nardizzi is in the spotlight!
Well, that’s about it.
The publication starts the year with overflowing energy. In recent weeks, I have received many messages congratulating me for my work and for the quality of what is published on Scribe. You’re touching my heart!
Thank you again, writers and readers, for your unfailing support and for all those literary things that you bring to Scribe every day. ♥︎
As always, here is a small selection of emotional stories that were published on Scribe in January. For a relaxing reading break. Most of them were curated by Medium in Poetry. You can find them again on the home page of the publication or in the January archives.
Enjoy your reading, and keep writing!
— Thomas
