Like Footprints in the Sand

Poetry about life

We’re the Universe
taking on a human form,
and its conscious silence
breathes into our heart,
like light from stars
becoming love and dreams.

And though passing moments
seem written in the wind,
gone forever
as though they never were,
like footprints in the sand,
washed away
by streaming tides,
every moment’s woven in the stars
and lives forever,
as memories the Universe has
of every life.

And though there’ll be a day
when we’ll be again
the boundless conscious space
that was once a human being,
the silent music bringing new life
in the springtime
like the sunlight dancing
in the surface of the ocean,
the Universe will always know
what it was to be human
in the life we lived.

Though all the moments of our life
seem transient
like footprints in the sand,
every moment’s written in the sky
and echoes through
the dreams and silence
of the conscious Universe.

And while we’re here,
alive today,
the kindness in our heart
is like the light from stars.
