Murmuration

A short story about time

What a time it was to be alive. The future loomed large and dark like a thundercloud on the horizon, obscuring the light behind which edged it with silver, while the pigeons perching on the rafters of Brighton Station grimly eyed or just plain ignored the trickle of people passing underneath them. One of them was me.
