Of Heat Dissipation
A poem for hot days

The dialectic of desire and the generation of the image.
Everything, in the world, contributes to your good.
I know it because
I traverse you crossing impossible expanses.
And the expense
is a ticket stamped on the wrong side,
and I weep over the absence,
and I cling to the presence,
and this summer so hot,
unbearable,
unbreathable
— it induces my birth.
