The Cover Letter I’d Rather Send

wrote a funny cover letter that shows more of his personality, and I thought it would be fun to write one of my own!

My hypothetical dream company would be more accepting of cover letters that show who people are beyond their resume and professional experiences and allow room for them to explain what they’re like in person and what their passions are.

Here’s the cover letter I’d rather send:

Dear Recruiter,

My name is Lark Morrigan, and I’m 30 years old. I’ve independently published six books, four albums, and over 1,200 pieces on the Internet. I’m a very versatile writer and composer. I can provide a dozen writing and music samples for you in a neat portfolio (in different genres, so you can see different sides of me) to prove that I have a lot of originality.

I’ve also read every novel that Juliet Marillier has ever written. It’s something that would take a lot of dedication, but for me, it was effortless. If you’re convinced of nothing else that I do, you should just hire…
