The Magic Cottage of My Heart

A poem of longing and listening to the hidden stories inside

Photo by Shan Li Fang on Unsplash

I feel undisciplined
Like a wild thorny rose climbing
Madly over an abandoned cottage
Thriving on the one hand on the
Old fertile earth from long ago gardens
But blocking entrance ways
Chimney openings
Leaving the place
Uninhabitable and a little unapproachable
Though beautiful, from afar

Stories that matter. Emotion first and foremost.
