What Makes a Home?
Love makes a home
we all know that
then what is there to write about?
Love makes a home
I knew that
as theory
but now
love makes home
and I watch
with wonder
how worlds come together
under one roof
how love grows
in every corner
how walls begin to contain
spirit and soul
and I realize
those homes I had before
were mostly houses
with people struggling to
relate with love
I tiptoed across those houses
worried
afraid to utter a wrong word
make a wrong move
heavy with armor
ready to defend
and here I walk with bare feet
firmly placed
on solid ground
feeling mellow and relaxed
I know I am home
