Photo Prompt 1 — Night Ride
A SERIOUS QUESTION
I had to perform many
night journeys by train
which were mostly as tours on
official purposes exclusively,
while some others for traveling.
During night hours usually
it was dark outside
except sometimes the moon
was bright and guided us
to a new horizon
where we would have reached
next morning before sunrise,
where I was totally unknown
to every citizen around me.
All people in the new place
may not be good always but
they were not all bad either!
Whenever my train came
nearer to any station or
a township hope was illuminated
for a joyful moment of life.
One night when I was making
preparations to sleep, a cute lady
asked me a serious question,
“Do you write about the women
who are in deep trouble?”
I wondered why she asked this!
Her sophisticated appearance
didn’t reflect any troubles
she might have faced in her lifetime
I could not ask her the reason
why she was so worried about it
Afterwards whenever
I performed a night journey
and find any cute co-passenger,
I was worried about happiness
and its definition in the real world
I asked myself the same question
so many times while
I was driving the train at night
