I WROTE A LOVE LETTER …

Once upon a time
when I was a teenager,
I felt excited whenever
my classmates wrote
love letters to a
girl of our age group.
But I was supposed to be
different from ordinary!
I can create. I can think.
Then some of my friends
told me that creativity
also badly needs to be loved.
They went on, insisting to me!
Finally, I wrote a love letter
to the girl I secretly loved.
The next day I passed the same
with a trembling hand to her.
She was our nearest neighbor.
I was expecting a quick reply.
Was not sure whether
it made her happy or angry!
While writing this poetry
I have discovered today,
I am still awaiting a reply
from the sweetie
I truly loved.
