Took a break from swirls of painted
Iris baited breath,
The grey is shady like a tree
In summer where I’d sit and
Sip the wine of all I’d

But this summer I will
Celebrate the loss,
The layers of dead
Soul that flake and drift
Off like the autumn
Leaves and
Sings of spring
In dying
