My Dark Inky friend has been awake for days.

Oh, My dear reader,
that constant who never leaves your side,
are they loud today?
My Dark Inky friend has been awake for days.
I look after it, I calm it, I do everything they tell me to.
But that doesn’t change the fact:
I will always live with my Dark Inky friend.
There is one thing I can rely on.
They will always awaken and raid my mind for days on end.
But, allow me to contradict.
I can always depend on them waking,
I can always depend on them sleeping.
Eventually, they will grow tired.
And as they sleep,
that is when we live.
