Tepid rains swallowed by aquifers,
lamenting yellow tones in lush grass
dolloped onto fading umber boughs
damp swathes of sallow summer
mourn dying buds, waning plumules
shedding reticulated leafy tears
dew tiptoes corpses whirled to piles,
A fumigated phoenix, nature’s origami
unfolds in swerving palms of autumn
to kiss diffused conceit of askew Sun,
full moon charms autumnal equinox
lit magnanimous dusk-till-dawn
embalmed by silhouettes of clouds
now buried plaintive in hollows of
morning mist’s nucleated crystals,
limp squibs of energy ooze out
scratching incipient inflorescences
in squirts of pale gold catenation,
a rabble of kaleidoscopic butterflies
unleash by weather’s window
skimming melancholy off the air
wind currents actuate infinitesimally
September’s rhapsody to spawn
supercooled swarm of snowflakes
Fall’s corked spirits metamorphosing
to flute notes of heavenly ambrosia
before recurrence of winter solstice
