Baring My Light
Stars’ fairy incandescence waiting for darkness to unwind— the longest day of the year approaching — estival solstice in arctic circle of the world — the season’s flavour caramelized to summer before spring could wholly gratify — langour of sienna, sepia, earthy browns seeps through my spirits — my light tuning the tabs of dreams — reflecting in moon’s milky beam — traverses time though invisible — yelling at me from somewhere in the cosmos, “be rough in mellowness, squeeze few whiffs of oxygen and yay! you are ignited”
another question from my core “why is procrastination devouring your dreams, damn this rough draft of trivial travelogue, few incomplete journeys, and many more treks you never travelled—left concealed under bedspread — like torn pages of a glossy journal— pinched by wooden splinters and rust-stained in contact with misfit nails” I wish to upturn the fabric and hunt the trajectory to my lost light — hidden in mysterious caves beyond wildfires — captured by a sorceress having bulbous nose — and kohl-rimmed orbs caged in morass — clouded by long auburn tresses
My brain screams, “smash the glass ceiling, flare up to touch the sky”— a rebellious self with bouncing muscles and hollow bones — air-filled as skeleton of a sparrow — I thaw the ice in the alcove of my heart — to inhale scents of wildflowers — splashed over meadows meditating in infinity—I leap up to lilt, “O my light! plunged in your lost and found energy— on the cusp of baring — let me be born out of my unbound sublime” — an ecstasy burrowing the conscience — now soaks every cell — a tidal surge — illumining my wooden self from pith to bark — leading me unto light through dark.
