Breaking free
Day goes by
Days after days
Body grows old
Cell by cell
You wake up, wash your face and get on with life
You do it again, until this routine becomes life
Decades ago, when you watched cartoons
You felt relieved
Knowing that life was about sensations, adventures
And finding out what you truly believe
Now time is money
And money is time
So you spend your days working for someone else’s dime
Correction! The dime is yours but the diamond is theirs
You do the hard work and they prevail
You are one of many
Just another battery
You work for them now
And tomorrow your child
Day goes by
Days after days
Body grows old
Cell by cell
Oh when will you wake up my very dear friend
Have you forgotten that life has an end?
