THE MOODY MAVEN

Catchin’ All I Can Until the Seasons Change

The poetry of alternate karaoke is alive and well in Mediumville, where all we need is a margarita and a notebook. I’m sure you know this song and will sing along with me!

Always, always, always try to have fun! Photo by Kindel Media

Oddly enough, I was outside when this song came to me. But go figure! I do love being outside, though, so maybe not so much odd as confirming?

So laying out on the lounger, catching a few of those evening rays, and suddenly I realize that we are losing the light. It’s not cloudy, is not getting late in the day really as much as late in the year. The days are shorter and that’s no fun for a sun worshiper like me. Bad harbinger! Bad, bad!

But instead of worrying too too much about my tan lines, my mind wandered to a song and a twist. Not a song with a twist, but rather a twist to a song.

We all know “Margaritaville.” Jimmy Buffett released this amazing song in 1977 and people have been singing along with him ever since.

Beach parties, bonfires, get togethers, and yes, karaoke nights have all been part of the overwhelming popularity of Margaritaville’s superpowered popularity. I mean, it’s just a super fun song.
