Fluid, revolted, sketchy
past the point of return
terrified eyes, shaking hands
one in the pocket
the other sweating against
the nursed drink
the drink ordered because
someone else wanted one like it
Or something like it
or without the same kind of pose
of constant rejection
eyes behind chronic eyelids
the red-rimmed passion of imagination
a taste for strangeness come to moderate
all other interactions
now come to press up…
