Dilated Eyes and The Lion King

Prompt: The basics of change

Misunderstanding birthed in the dilated eye. And led ultimately to box office disaster of the new Lion King.

You see, real lions’ faces do not bake emotion like human faces. And especially not like animated human-like cartoon lion faces.

Those dilated eyes? The ones you thought made Simba and Puss-In-Boots look so cuddly? In a real predator, those dilated eyes would signal danger, leading quickly to disaster.

If gobble-gobble isn’t the last thing you want to hear, at least arm yourself with information. Don’t let misunderstanding lead to an early demise.

Yours, or that of The Lion King.
