An ominous spectacle
constellations on the surface of liquid
nested porcelain cups
that break all at once
understanding, finally
that the second law of thermodynamics
applies to you too.

A colossal shadow
festival of plague
the contagion of ecstatic entropy
drunk on avarice
feasting on freshly butchered
swan (song)
they behead the server
for the evening’s
entertainment.

Mere pageant
cut-rate façade
a horde of easy marks
lethal mindlessness
moving through a plume of confusion
hopelessly tangled lines
of faulty logic
sustained by dark mirth
no escape
not even in death…
because death does not cure insanity.
