Even if you won’t stay forever
A poem

You are welcome
Even if you won’t stay forever
Most of my flowers
Have been killed by standing water
Departing
Doesn’t mean you came in vain
The roots are grateful
To the drops that move through soil
And when you evaporate
You can return as raindrops
Permanence’s only power
On this planet
Is that it has convinced us
That we need it
