Fathomable Fragments

In Scattered Prose

Photo by Max Kleinen on Unsplash

it was a fragment of the heart
dismissed as a figment of

that slipped through the cracks
of a formation, once solid, now fragile

dribbling down the absent tangent
off supple
curves of the lost petals

scented with the missing fragrance
whiffing off the formidable punch

and then the stars spelt out
the name and its place in
hard to pronounce, much less denounce

  • In response to the fragmentary prompt by J.D. Harms, calling for a piece of seemingly unconnected fragments, each stanza/paragraph with a different image attached to it that interacts, or even goes full on tangential from the image you started with.
  • And so I tried imagination crippled by cracks missing the beauty curves and losing its fragrance, only because destiny said so!
