Autumn’s orchestra
symphonically crumples
from green swoosh
to umber rustle
to discoloured rattle,
surreal chromatography
performed on the facets
of october frisked for
soft, sublime chroma
by the Sun meditating on
lores of december solstice,
in the marrow of
condensing zephyr
below sheath of mists
a golden wink of autumn
gleams in rosy eyes of
winter’s fluffy moon
soon to be vanquished
with descent of sheep
from glacial meadows
to the benevolence of
juicy foothill landscapes,
colours freeze in time
with warm scents of
mummified autumn
silent stipples of chill
dot the season’s map
twinkling snowflakes
hugging bare boughs
in an unending languor,
winter reverberates
unwrapping elements
to raw resplendence.
