Incongruous
Friendship disconnected
Your words were out of synch with friendship
as though written on an ancient typewriter
missing letters and commas, jamming thoughts into
one another like runaway trains, saying what
shouldn’t, needn’t be said because friendship
isn’t always about blatant truths that are only true
to one in a relationship that’s fraying into
strips of jagged words and poisonous spittle.
