He can start at the shoulder – take the mess of a day and another night to heart, to that bitter bone inside the breast, on top of the rib cage — the lock and no key anywhere — scrounging into the belly of last week’s dinner so he doesn’t eat today, or the next day — that beast in wolf’s clothing — snarls and eyes and legs for making short work…
