Isn’t it strange?
People are in abundance
More than ever before

Yet we feel lonely
Working away each day
To support our dearest

We want a good life for our mothers and fathers
our husbands and wives
our daughters and sons
for anything that we are told is family

Though in the bigger scheme aren’t we all family?
blood does not matter
proximity does not matter
even love does not matter

In the end we are all related

We all should have reason to care for one another
to trust and love
to make life good for us all

Instead we listen to the system
We segregate by blood, language, nation, race and what not
We don’t see ourselves as communities anymore
We become smaller and smaller

Kids moving out of their homes at 18
sometimes even earlier
because their focus is on becoming independent
their focus is on becoming an “adult”

Becoming an adult apparently means
becoming a fool
someone who listens to every word Media preaches
someone who does not think for themselves but follows the norm

Instead of questioning, they assume that any change is good

Sadly by the time they wake up
Life will be over.

Recommended reading: Medium is full of writers who are full of themselves, sharing only their own content. So I have decided to use the link function to share content from someone else that I really liked.

This time a video that maybe foreign but the subtitles will help understand how it relates. :)

Keeping things to yourself? I wonder how long it will take for things to get too much. Express yourself!
