Let me pose the question
before you dance away
burying yourself in your toast
in your monochromatic screen
of defiance
Let me ask the words first
not letting you sing from the bedroom
and taunting the lack
of air between us
The killing of unaware ants
has begun
their large circles
no refuge against your wild steps
Let me at least draw out
a version of the wall we plan to keep
before drawing over the picture
with mustard and…
