Midas’ Lovestar

A hybrid poem

Your eyes — plum velvet ribbons — tie my heart in a bow
Your words — liquid moonbeams — irradiate my soul
Your touch — a majestic redwood — hints of forever
Our bodies —limbs entwined — will weather together

Tongue-tied — aching to break free from this humming reticence — burgeoning molten lava thoughts…

Ann Marie Steele

I pen poetry about love and loss, what I observe and experience — I write about hope. My writing has been described as resiliently defiant.
