Galaxies fade in depths of time, a lisp of light connotes, moon rays dim as chariot of the fire-god galloping sky; fire instantaneously brightens tilted face of earth
Sun rays spread their scintillating dendrites — mandarin, copper, madder tiptoeing shadowy blue in fluent, melodious woodwind intonations of sultry trees,
A firecracker plant flowers from earth up to sky showering bright crimson and golden passions plumped up in soulful embers of smudgy exhilaration, in solstice moment
the fiery longest day alive, afire in consonance with brain fever bird’s call triggered before dawn, heard well after dusk,
variegated thoughts slather fiery poultice raging nerves of musing, deeply enamored by celestial carnival, too appalled to pen a verse or two about,
I, a wink of cosmic haze, levitating beyond languor merely observe
long after vernalisation seeds crack connecting dreamy dots to march towards Sun for reaping buttery sizzle of frangipani, periwinkle’s cool mauve, gratifying mirrors of sunflowers,
words cannot fathom bejewelled innocence earth reflects in all her finery, contemplating over milky jasmine’s deliverance among meditative roses in microcosm of the garden.

Footnote: India lies in northern hemisphere of the earth so a summer solstice is observed here recently. The long, hot day inspired my musings befitting to the Wednesday prompt ‘solstice observations’ by J.D. Harms
