Morning Jewels of India

A poem

saffron ribbons unfurl
across the waking sky
daybreak’s dupatta
draped in hues of spice

sunrise an artist
with a wildflower’s touch
lancha of amber tangerine
blooming at horizon’s blush

the morning spreads its wings
feathers of burnished vermilion
a sari’s vibrant hem
igniting the heavens

tranquil moments suspended
in a riotous dance of crimsons
each dawn an invitation
to revel in nature’s trance

the rising sun’s radiant serenade
India’s sky awash in splendour’s rapture
a salutation
to greet the day’s capture
