Yala National Park, Sri Lanka

The kites that flew across the August skies
Hiding among rich canopies of coconut trees
Shady mangroves with mysterious fruits that hide
Gratifying memories of childhood in the paradise isle

Soothing winds that gave you dreams to soar high
On the blank pages of a virtual thought profile
Trickling brooks with muddy banks ‘n pebble stones
Filled with shrubs the names of which you forget

Catch that spirit, the very same, entrapping it bare
To eject that word at the tip of the tongue
Hold it down, on to the glaring screen of 14 in inches
Capsulizing the wilderness freedom in majestic grandeur

Aha! What a perfect misfit*1 this one is!
So by the wise words of the man very wise
Caged sadly within is the thought that the bird is
That will fly not ever, though unfolded freely are its wings *2
