Poem: Life Tries To Breathe
Even when choked and drowned.
In an isolated corner of the brain
Surrounded by bleak thoughts
And labyrinth of unspoken dreams
Scrubbing the dust settled on the decades-old aspirations
life tries to breathe
In the noisy edges of the bloody chambers
Untouched by all
And unheard by any
Alongside the constant dance of the heart
life tries to breathe
In a parallel universe of ecstasy
Kindling the shards of lost emotions
And struggling to achieve a shred of normalcy
Amid the tumultuous storm of unbound timeliness
life keeps trying to breathe…
It struggles, it fails, and yet it keeps hustling. We might not pause and give in to problems but life just keeps going. In the frightening era we live in, nothing is easy and no one is stress-free. We keep dreaming of a parallel universe and try to somehow achieve it.
And when we won’t, we push ourselves.
This past week has been that phase of mine and thankfully, things seem normal now.
Here’s to hoping you are having a great day as well!
