on the thickest days, orange tentacles drop flash floods — the pavement hisses
at boiling point — heirloom fruits burst from the vine — soil the garden purple — acid of a poisonous history

predicable populace
outrage in an echo chamber
politicians contemplate
a mass-murder designed
to push leftist…
