Edges blurred, haunted by eyeliner
the spectacular convulsion
irritated existential body facing

Done endorsing frailty
rather fit like a vice
taking the tension out of me
compression

Figuring
the last hand is the best hand
pushed all-in
too soon

Corrupted by the split
by all leading up to the break shudder
confined to equivocal satisfaction

So embrace
the next ritual or the one after that

Exposure to music
ruffling the nerves of the nose
to find the Spring
or whatever it’s called outside

Abstract abrasion
legs horrored by the blood
toenails hanging
connected to the thread
but not the growth

And you sink
for a time
fully beneath the pain
