September’s Wonderful Words
In Celebration of Scrittura’s Writers
Autumn is my favorite season. However, with the season comes hurricanes. As readers know by now, Hurricane Helene rocked North Carolina, destroying my previous home, Asheville, and the surrounding area—including my college town, Boone. This shocked us all. After all, natural disasters are not picky (nor are they political), but they always seem to happen to other people.
I hold on dearly (perhaps desperately) to my memories. But nostalgia can only be sweet for so long.
I hope you all are safe and secure wherever you live.
