POETRY PROMPT
Three Short Poems from a Rainy Day
An etheree word prompt
Not a Cat Day
rain
splish splash
cat now pissed
breath fuzzes pane
looks out in disdain
puddles becoming pond
feline’s playground disappears
fuck, no boat and no fucking owl
might as well ascend to my pillow
and dream dry summer days and gnawing birds
The Path
light
shadow
weaving rhymes
a path unfolds
dappled in a maze
summer’s dream left behind
as my feet shuffle through leaves
a golden glint captures my eye
on knees, I spread leafy cards and find
a ring inscribed: you’re the gold THAT I AM
After the Rain Stops
frogs
crickets
hum in head
mantras collide
careen old stories
back to primal silence
before putting on this face
much sleep very rarely needed
with yesterday and tomorrow gone
as I…
