Time’s Mistress

And her presence that goes unnoticed

Have you met Time’s Mistress?
There she lays
Rising from the corner
Eager to begin
A new day calling for a fest
Without appearance keen
To shock the eye’s view, at first
Think again, have you seen her?
Written all over her — cages
Tempted to open, she rages
There is so little energy
Depriving her of mockery
Is it day or eve?
