When you made your pre-lockdown grocery run just before the COVID lockdown in 2020, what items were highest on your list? I know I learned a lot about myself that day.
Evidently, all I need to survive the apocalypse is Folgers Black Silk, Sugar In The Raw, Natural Bliss creamer, Arethusa ice cream, and Charmin Extra Soft. Beyond that, I wasn’t fussy about what went into the shopping carts. Of course, I also added them to Amazon Subscribe and Save and Boxed to ensure they kept coming in maximum quantities so we’d be ready in case the supply chain broke down.
Dad often referred to the great depression as why he was so thrifty and learned to do without. Fuck that, I want what I want, and I’ll keep hoarding it against the next apocalypse.
