Wonderful Words
In Celebration of Scrittura’s Writers: (January-February)
It’s March. We made it through the wilderness of the “great grey beast, February” according to Clive Barker in The Thief of Always. (I highly recommend this dark children’s fantasy if you haven't read it. )
I write this from a library. The scene out the window: families playing in the park. Frisbees and footballs are flying across the lawn. At home, my daffodils are in full bloom. There’s hope here. Do you feel it too?
I might even…write again.
Thank you for being such a warm community of literary-minded humans. We value your feedback. Scrittura is the publication it is today because of our writers’ genuine and creative words and the consistent readership of our subscribers.
“Wonderful Words” is a selection of our favorite pieces from the previous two months (this time, apologies for the delay! The grey beast threatened to swallow me whole) We value human connection, attention to detail, and quality writing. Our favorites are subjective, of course. The editors (Viraji, Zay, Ann, and Samantha) hope you will enjoy the variety showcased here.
