Prompt response: give a poem a shape

is a
yellow life
spread and stretched
on a thin canvas
between the fingers of a man
who longs to touch the skin.
Who longs to finger the
skin of another touch without the crazy ball
of lamplight covering his whole eye:
sublunar eclipse. Holed up in the radiator
screaming for the sheer joy of making
sound while rose and poppy burn
along the image of an ankh…
