You Gracefully Topple
November 2nd Saturday poetry prompt word: Topple

With wings of steel
You gracefully topple
You are covered in
Fallen leaves
From falling trees
From broken lives
From a broken sky.
—
With wings of steel
You gracefully topple
The silver lining now black
From dust in the wind.
—
With wings of steel
You gracefully topple
And I watch you fall
…and wait for you to come back up
